The storage and transport of bulk materials is a key element of technological processes in many industrial sectors. A properly designed system for receiving and feeding raw materials from silos affects the continuity of the production line, the precision of dosing, and the safety of the entire process.
The function and importance of silos in the technological process
Silos act as storage buffers, ensuring constant availability of raw materials despite variable delivery and consumption rates. Depending on the characteristics of the material (bulk density, moisture content, tendency to clump or segregate), appropriate silo designs and equipment are selected, including aeration systems, vibrators, aerators, and emptying aids.
Another key element is the appropriate selection of equipment for receiving material from the silo hopper, such as rotary valves, screw conveyors, or pneumatic transport systems.
Material collection and transport systems
InterProcess designs and supplies complete systems for collecting and transporting raw materials from silos to further processing points, such as mixers, dispensers, intermediate tanks, or packaging lines. Depending on the product properties and process requirements, we use the following transport technologies:
- mechanical – including screw conveyors, redlers, bucket conveyors, belt conveyors,
- pneumatic – vacuum (negative pressure) and positive pressure systems for transport over shorter and longer distances,
- hybrid – combining different methods to optimize flow and energy consumption.
Our solutions also include dust extraction, foreign body separation, filtration, and automatic material flow control systems.
Integration with the production line

The system monitors fill levels, controls transport speed, and ensures uniform dosing of raw materials.
