Why Is It Important To Ensure the Quality of Bulk Products?

In the food and pharmaceutical industries, product quality and safety are a priority. One of the key elements in ensuring compliance with standards is sampling, especially in the case of bulk substances such as powders, granules, or mixtures.

Due to their structure, bulk products are particularly susceptible to heterogeneity – their composition may vary depending on their location in a container, bag, or silo. Uneven distribution of active ingredients or the presence of contaminants can lead to non-compliance with quality standards and, in the case of medicines, pose a real threat to patient health. This is not only a regulatory obligation, but above all a guarantee of safety and consumer confidence.

How Are Samples Taken?

Sampling must be carried out in a representative manner and in accordance with established procedures. For this purpose, sampling probes, inline sampling systems, and specialized containers are used, among other things. The process should be carried out by trained personnel under conditions that minimize the risk of cross-contamination.

What Can We Offer?

Our offer primarily includes sampling devices based on screws with electric, pneumatic, or manual drives. We also offer solutions in the form of pneumatically driven pistons. These types of devices are installed in drain pipes and chutes, and freely falling material is collected in specific quantities at set intervals. The entire system is managed by a control system that allows for easy parameter changes.

Another sampling device is our vacuum system based on our smallest S-type pneumatic receiver. This device is suitable for sampling material from bags, Big Bags, barrels, or octabins. A special lance allows it to be immersed in the material and suck a specified amount into the receiver.

Ultimately, in all devices, the representative samples of material collected are transferred to plastic bags or bottles. This allows them to be tested in a laboratory and then stored in a warehouse.
