Filling and packaging

filling systems, gravimetric screw feeders, vibrating feeders, belt weigh feeders

We specialize our products for all types of filling systems. This applies to both microscale processes, including in particular prepackaged goods below 10 kg, and macro, such as mixing of semi-finished products or filling large bags.

Filling devices

As an engineering company, we analyze each system separately and select the appropriate elements depending on the requirements. We can offer a ready filling device or adapt to the elements that the customer already has. Our offer includes: gravimetric screw feeders, vibrating feeders and belt weighfeeders – each of them can be used in the filling application.

Filling and packaging lines

Screw feeders with different types of feeding tools depending on the feed material, agitator supporting free flow, advanced control systems and tight connection – all this guarantees a precise, dust-free and automated filling process.

Control systems

A unique feature of our control systems is the data processing method, which is characterized by speed and exceptional accuracy. The use of state-of-the-art transducer systems and efficient processors means that fast filling no longer means low accuracy and overfilling containers.

The typical solutions are:

  • Indicator Flex/2100 with MFL software or created individually
  • Indicator 1020 with MFL software
  • Indicator SGM800 with MFL software

Minor batch feeding

Applications consisting in feeding previously weighed amount of materials into boxes is one of the applications of our devices. These types of applications very often occur in packaging, which is most often covered by the Act on Prepackaged Goods. Particularly when dosing small portions, accuracy, repeatability and speed are critical. We weigh out small portions using our DSL screw feeders and advanced Flex, 1020 or SGM800 control systems. The result is high precision (accuracy even below 0,5 [g]) at a low cost of the device. In this type of application, dosing takes place on an external balance, which has a mechanism of emptying after an external signal (e.g. when the packaging is placed under the chute). The ultra-fast control system controls the speed of the material stream. In the last phase, material feeding is slower and the pneumatically operated shut-off valve brakes the material in a split second. The control system can learn the process and minimize dosing errors with subsequent portions.

The main advantages of using our feeders while minor batch feeding:

  • low cost of device implementation in the production line,
  • high accuracy and repeatability,
  • possibility of legal-for-trade of non-automatic scales in class III (no need for using checkweighers),
  • preview of feeding statistics (average, standard deviation, material adder, etc.),
  • easy disassembly and cleaning,
  • the mechanism of the scale can be fully built-in in the case of heavily dusty material.

Packaged goods

Legal requirements on prepacked products are strongly regulating the filling processes. The filling takes place in two variants: the net dosage, where the material is weighed out of the container, and then drained into the pot or gross dispensing, which means dispensing material directly into the pot. In automatic systems, the filling is carried out using a machine and is a dispenser adapted to the type of material – loose or liquid. The particular e-mark register is used to collect filling data so that an automatic check weigher does not have to be used on the line.
